Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is the first assessment method we use. Any candidate who has completed any work with another provider but did not complete is welcome to apply for prior learning. As part of the process, we consider the age of your evidence, quality and how it meets the assessment criteria. The full process will also involve checking the authenticity of your work, currency,and reliability.

In practice, this might involve questioning or professional discussions. Our assessor needs to be confident the work being submitted is yours. Your knowledge and understanding need to reflect current standards.

Where you have earned credits we will apply credit transfer towards your desired qualification. This usually results in a discount towards the course fees where your evidence is significant. Discounts are normally applied to reflect any less work required to support you to achieve your qualification.
