NVQ Assessors Courses (Assessor Qualifications and Training)

Coursetopia delivers a range of assessor courses, training and qualifications by distance and blended learning. These qualifications are regulated and enable you to become a professional NVQ Assessor. We deliver the whole suite of regulated assessor qualifications which is made up of four different qualifications.

These NVQ assessor qualifications replaced the A1 and A2 Assessor Awards in 2010. The D32/33 NVQ assessor qualifications had been initially superseded by the A1 Awards.

The suite of the assessing and internal quality assurance qualifications is sometimes referred as TAQA (Training, Assessment, and Quality Assurance). TAQA is not really a specific course but a term mainly used by City and Guild's to describe their assessor and IQA qualifications. In essence there is no TAQA Qualification. Over the years the term has now been mainly attributed to the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

Our Assessing courses are delivered by an experienced team who are committed to getting you qualified as soon as possible. To become a qualified NVQ Assessor you need to choose either the Level 3 Award in assessing vocationally related achievement, Level 3 Award in assessing competence in the work environment or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement depending on your work environment.

There are no higher NVQ assessing qualifications above level 3. Although Assessor qualifications are set at level 3, they enable you to assess higher qualifications depending on your occupational competency which can be demonstrated by having experience, qualifications or both associated with the area you intend to assess. It is therefore possible for you to assess level 8 qualifications as long as you have subject expertise matching the level.

Role of an assessor

As an assessor, you support candidates to demonstrate competence and essential skills. You ensure only competent people are signed off.
