The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement is designed for those who assess in environments such as classrooms and workshops. The aim of the course is to assess the candidate assessor's performance in assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace.
About this qualification
This qualification enables you to assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace, such as workshops, classrooms and training environments. Coursetopia encourages candidates to submit naturally occurring evidence from their work environment to demonstrate competency. The course has a 54 hours guided learning requirement and you are usually expected to complete within 2 to 10 weeks.

Entry Requirements
This assessor course is open to anyone who is working in a learning and development environment and has access to two candidates and assessment opportunities. You need to demonstrate competency by having qualifications or experience in the subject area you want to assess. You will also be expected to have basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills.
Assessment
The course is assessed by a portfolio of evidence. You will normally be expected to complete written assignments for Unit 1. You will need to support and assess at least two candidates who are following a vocational course where there is a clear defined assessment criteria. You will also be expected to demonstrate knowledge of assessment and carry out a minimum of four assessments that examine the skills, knowledge and understanding of your two candidates.
What can I do after completion?
Once qualified, you can assess vocational skills in classroom and workshop environments. You can go on to complete the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) to also assess in the workplace, or any other learning and development courses.
